The Women Cell is constituted to help maintain a harmonious atmosphere at the Institute, to enable women to pursue their work with assurance. The cell has been working to raise awareness on gender equality issues.
Role and Responsibility
☛ This cell functions as the Complaints Committee as required by the “Sexual Harassment of Women at Work Place (Prevention, Prohibition Redressal) Act 2013”.
☛ Institute is committed to maintaining a professional learning and working environment for its students and employees and guests. Women’s Cells mandate is to prevent gender discrimination and inappropriate sexual conduct. This is best achieved through promoting sensitivity and justice amongst all NNRG employees & Students.
Assistance by the NNRG
I. Steps in preventing sexual harassment
A. Sensitising the students, faculty members and employees regarding the sexual harassment guidelines:
☛ Every year During the B.Tech, B.Pharmacy Orientation program there is Presentation by Convener on Introduction & Functions of committee.
B.Conduct workshops and training programmes at regular intervals:
☛ Guest lecture or workshop once in a semester.
☛ Conduct the International Women’s Day Program.
☛ Conduct the Traditional Program such as Bathukamma
II. Resolving disputes of such nature.
☛ To provide counselling services to the complainant
☛ To pursue the complaint and the safety of the complainant
☛ To assure confidentiality of the case
☛ To form the Internal Complaints Committee to deal with the cases relating to Sexual Harassment
☛ To inform the members about the Internal Complaints Committee by displaying the same at conspicuous place
☛ To provide necessary facilities to the Internal Committee as the case may be, for dealing with the complaint and conducting inquiry; Assist in securing the attendance of respondent and witnesses before the Internal Committee or the Local Committee, as the case may be; Make available such information to the Internal Committee as the case, may be, as it may require
