NNRG CENTRAL LIBRARY


The main aim of the Library is to provide necessary support for teaching, learning, research activities of the Institute by creating state-of-the-art facilities and offering innovative services to the academic community. The library manages knowledge, both in print and digital formats. Knowledge resources are plays a key role for the growth of any education institution.


NNRG is proud of its library which is spread over a floor area of 1,400 Sqm. The Library has been organizing into different services like lending section, reading section, Periodical section and digital library section. The library contains more than 30,000 volumes of books covering about 5,000 titles. Apart from text books it is equipped with a large number of reference books, Journals, Magazines and e-journal from different organizations. Library is an Institutional Member of DELNET.


The Library is Fully Computerized using an Integrated Library Management Software Package called KOHA. On-line Public Access Catalogue (OPAC) facility is available in the Library and it can be accessed through intranet.


The Library also maintaining Digital Library equipped with 30 systems, and provides 10mbps internet connection.

LIBRARY SERVICES

i) Lending Service :

The Library follows open access system in the Library. Users can go directly to the shelves and choose their materials needed by them. Only Registered Users can borrow the books for a limited period. They can renew the books, if the same books are not claimed by other users.

ii) Periodical Section (National/International Print Journals) :

The Library Subscribes the 228 Print Journals in various engineering, management and Pharmacy Disciplines and also subscribes approximately 600 online e-journals through DELNET.


iii) Reference Section :

A separate reading hall is provided with a huge seating capacity in the library. In this section it contains good collection of books such as GATE, General Studies, Encyclopedias, Dictionaries, Handbooks, Thesis and a copy of each prescribed text book and reference books. These books can referred in the library premises only.


iv) Digital Library :

The Digital Library has been provided 32 systems connected LAN and internet with 10mbps bandwidth for its users. Users can browse the e-journals through DELNET. The Library has the collection of NPTEL Videos from IIT expert lectures.


v) Reprographic Services :

The Library offers photocopying Service to all its users. Users can take photocopies of journal articles, Books and Thesis with a nominal rate of Rs. 1/- per copy. They cannot Photocopy of entire book or journal. Computer printouts are also available in this section.
